Van Icon starts a new line of paintings called NEUE POTSDAMER ROMANTIK. This new local style consists of ordinary situations in a surreal composition with hard breaks.
An exhibition is planned in end 2020.
The latest work by van Icon in 2019 is a seemingly dadaistic
composition of tools, antlers and cables. This acrylic painting is
100x120 cm big and for sale starting from now.
Its just the difference of pure realism that makes us think of radical or shocking. There is a lot more surprise around us as we`re up to know about. It's addicted to knowledge... Someone may be confused (or shocked) others may say that's just ordinary.

The painting ELEFANT VON UNTEN (elephant from below) was originaly painted at 60x40 cm on canvas. At the moment it has been painted for 4 times in different position, sex and canvas size.
The painting became a merch-design as screen printed Shirt in 2 editions, bags and offset printed postcards and artwork posters.
